Friendship fixers are pupils from Years 4, 5 and 6 who have been trained in peer mediation. They support children to resolve their friendship conflicts without needing adult intervention.
Dear Children of St. Patrick’s,
We are writing to you to introduce ourselves. We are the Friendship Fixers at St. Patrick’s and we are here to serve others.
Our main role is to help you when you have a problem with your friends. This might be an argument, a falling out or you could just be feeling lonely.
If you need our help you will find us in the Wellbeing Zone.
We will try our hardest to solve your friendship problems. We will start by introducing ourselves and explaining that what you tell us will be kept confidential. You will each get a turn to speak without interruptions. We will not take sides.
We hope to see you if you need our help. We have healed a lot of friendship so far and hope to continue.
The Friendship Fixers
“Friends Forever Fix It Together”
“They helped us sort out our problem by gathering us together and asking questions.”
“When I came to friendship fixers I thought it solved my problem very well because I have never had a fight with my friend since.”
“Friendship fixers help us to solve our problems, they help us to talk rather than argue. When you go to see them no one else can get involved so it gets sorted so much faster.”
